Two Brothers. One Vision. 27 Years of Ink, Family, and Community.

 

Our story began in New York in 1999, when brothers Rick and Rob turned their backgrounds in jewelry, art, and design into something new. What started with body piercing soon grew into tattooing—and eventually into a business built around creativity, craftsmanship, and community.

 

Over the years, first shop grew into multiple locations across New York and Florida. Along the way, Rick and Rob created opportunities for emerging artists, welcomed family members into the business, and watched many of the people who started with them build successful careers of their own.

Today, after 27 years, that journey continues at FIB Tattoo Bar & Grill in Brooklyn—a unique space bringing together tattoo culture, art, food, and community under one roof.

 

The business has evolved, the industry has changed, and the family has grown. But at its heart, the story remains the same: two brothers who took a chance on each other and never stopped creating.

Neither brother began as a professional tattoo artist. They learned the industry from the ground up, working alongside experienced artists and building the business around a simple principle: respect the art, respect the artist, and respect the customer.
